Saffle Says --- Lessons for English Learners

Here you can find out all the information you need about the Michael's ESL podcast and blog. Post questions and comments as you wish. I value listener and reader comments so don't be shy! The questions you ask me more than likely will be questions others want to know the answers to!

This is another way to ask someone to repeat something. For example,
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear that. Could you please run that by me again?"

The whole nine yards

everything that is relevant; the whole thing.
"She took everything with her when she left him. Her clothes, her book, even her cat, the whole nine yards!"

Junk Mail

The unsolicited advertisements and flyers you get in the mail, both at home and in your email account.
"I'm sick of junk mail! I get a hand full from the post office and then 100 spam emails in my inbox. When will it end?"
